Dr. Janaina Aguiar is the Principal Chemist at Imperative Chemical Partners and Director of the AIChE Virtual Local Section. A chemical engineer and innovator, she holds patents and has authored several technical papers across nearly two decades in RD&I.

Janaina has led international teams delivering solutions in flow assurance, IOR, and deepwater qualification. Her leadership in product development has driven revenue growth and operational reliability across global O&G projects, promoting collaboration, efficiency, and integrity in every stage of innovations.
